Home Automation With an Emphasis on "Home"

You want to hear your favorite music throughout your house, even in your back yard, but you don’t want speakers, wires and black boxes everywhere. And to add an extra challenge, you want the best electronics for the best possible sound. What’s a music lover to do?

We found and installed the perfect solution for one of our local Georgia clients who wanted great sound throughout his home. Since he is a long-time owner and lover of Linn components, we designed and installed a high-end Linn multi-room and multi-zone system for him that pumps out music throughout his house, and integrates with an easy-to-use Crestron touch panel system.

 

 



The living room features an active Linn
system with Kaber loudspeakers.
Starting on the inside of the house, we installed an active Linn system with his existing and beloved Linn Kaber loudspeakers. The wood of the speakers and the electronics rack perfectly matches the home’s traditional décor.

We also installed a Knekt/Intersekt system that provides sound throughout the house via inconspicuous Linn Sekrit wall-mounted loudspeakers. You don’t see them, but you sure do hear them and you always like what you hear! In addition, the Linn system allows the family to watch/listen to different sources in different zones of the house without any speakers or electronics visible, yet it can be centrally controlled.

For extra convenience, we also installed a new Linn Kivor high-end CD-quality hard drive music system.To make all of this advanced technology easy to use we installed a Crestron touch panel system that can be used to control the sources, the playback volume, the home security system, lighting and other functions.

Beneath the aquarium, a set of Linn Sekrits
keep the fish swimming to the beat.
We saved some of the best stuff, though, for the back yard. Throughout the yard, you will see birdhouses that match the garden perfectly. However, these birdhouses are not actually homes to any birds, but contain a left and right channel speaker system that is completely hidden and weatherproof. These speakers are part of the multi-zone Linn audio system and can be controlled from anywhere in the house. The exceptional design and construction of both the speakers and electronics, combined with a judicious placement of these gems, provides an amazingly even quality and volume of sound throughout the back yard. No matter where you roam, the music follows you and it sounds great.
