If you want great performance and appearance you really have to work at it.  A longtime Linn customer was building his "last" house and asked us to integrate the equipment with his decor.  The very clean look and the combination of custom and antique furniture provided quite a challenge.

The master bedroom had an antique cabinet that could hold a flat screen TV, but it was at the wrong height and angle to view from the bed.  It was also desirable to view it from a chair across the room.  The cabinet was valuable and treasured.

We had a special framework fabricated that would fit inside the cabinet and transfer the loads required without damage.  We used a commercial swing arm mount and fabricated a lateral stabilizer and a gas cylinder lift mechanism so the TV could be used easily in many positions.

Since the location is quite remote, service and maintenance were prime considerations.  We built the electronics into racks in his custom cabinets so everything is accessible and serviceable.  Every connection is labeled and every wire in the walls is numbered and tracked on a spreadsheet for easy identification and future expansion.

The whole system is controlled by a mix of Linn keypads and Crestron touchscreens.  The lighting is also controlled by the Crestron.

This system has grown to include an adjacent house with sound from the main sources available and controllable there as well.  We wired the whole complex and improved the communications and video systems as well.
